TERMS AND CONDITIONS_

Welcome to Julie Daumen Graphic Design

These terms and conditions outline the policies governing the use of my services and website. By engaging in a project or browsing this site, you acknowledge and agree to the terms that follow. Should you require clarification, please feel free to contact me directly.

1. Services

Julie Daumen Graphic Design provides professional graphic design services including, but not limited to:

  • Logo, brand, and visual identity design

  • Website design and implementation (e-commerce with Shopify, showcase websites with Wix)

  • Social media strategy, content planning and design assets

  • Illustrations, custom artwork and creative direction

All work is carried out based on:
• A written brief provided by the client and
• A written proposal or agreement provided by Julie Daumen Graphic Design, outlining scope, deliverables and deadlines.

2. Payments & Minimum Project Fee

  • A detailed quotation will be provided prior to starting any project.

  • A minimum project amount of AED 3000 is required to begin any work.

  • Work begins only upon receipt of the deposit.

Standard payment structure:
• 50% non-refundable deposit before work begins

• 25% required before revision rounds start
• 25% balance due prior to delivery of final files

Additional services beyond the original scope will be quoted and billed separately.

All quotations issued by Julie Daumen Graphic Design are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

​

3. Revisions and Modifications

  • Projects include 2 rounds of revisions by default, unless otherwise specified in the proposal.

  • Any extra revisions beyond those included will be billed separately.

  • Once designs are approved and finalised, further changes will be considered a new request and quoted accordingly.

4. Delivery of Work

  • Final files will be delivered in agreed formats (PDF, PNG, JPG, AI, EPS, etc.).

  • Delivery will occur after full payment has been received.

  • Deadlines may shift in the case of delayed feedback, missing content, or late payment from the client.

5. Copyright & Usage Rights

  • Ownership of final, approved designs transfers to the client after full payment is completed.

  • Drafts, early concepts and unused design proposals remain the intellectual property of Julie Daumen Graphic Design.

  • Julie Daumen Graphic Design may feature final work in her portfolio, social media or promotional materials unless confidentiality is requested in writing.

  • Licenses for external resources (fonts, stock images, etc.) remain subject to their original terms.

6. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

  • Provide all required information, text, images and content in a timely manner.

  • Review, comment and approve drafts within reasonable timeframes to ensure smooth project progression.

7. Project Pauses / Client Delays

If the client does not provide required content or feedback and the project is paused for more than 14 days:

  • The project timeline will adjust automatically to reflect the delay.

  • A reactivation or rescheduling fee may apply depending on the workload and duration of the pause.

  • If the pause exceeds 30 days, the project may be considered closed.

To resume the client must settle the value of work completed to date and a new proposal may be required.

8. Cancellation & Refunds

  • The deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.

  • If the client cancels after work has begun, they will be invoiced for the total value of work completed, including anything beyond the deposit amount.

  • If the client provides no content and decides not to continue, the deposit remains non-refundable as it compensates allocated work time.

9. Liability & Limitations

  • Julie Daumen Graphic Design is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use of delivered designs.

  • The client is responsible for final approval of files. Any errors (including spelling, layout or content) approved by the client are not the responsibility of the designer.

  • No guarantee is made regarding commercial performance or results.

10. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to maintain confidentiality of all project-related information unless written consent is given to disclose it.

​

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the UAE. Any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of UAE courts.

​

12. Amendments

Julie Daumen may update or amend these terms at any time. Clients are advised to review periodically for updates.
